Established in 1999, the Northwood High School Baseball Program has built a proud legacy of excellence—both on the field and in the classroom. Competing in the Pacific Coast League, the Timberwolves have long embraced a balanced philosophy that values academic achievement alongside athletic performance.
Guided over the years by a dedicated coaching staff, the program has consistently fostered the growth of student-athletes, helping them develop not only their baseball skills but also essential life qualities such as discipline, leadership, and teamwork. This holistic approach has prepared countless Timberwolves for success in college, careers, and beyond.
This section celebrates the enduring impact of our alumni—whose achievements continue to inspire future generations of Northwood ballplayers
When Northwood High School opened its doors in 1999, Rob Stuart became the architect of its baseball program, taking on the challenge of building a team, a culture, and a legacy entirely from scratch. As the school’s first head baseball coach, he established the foundation for what would become one of Northwood’s most respected athletic programs. From organizing the inaugural tryouts to shaping the team’s identity, Stuart set the tone for more than two decades of Timberwolf baseball.
Across his 22-year tenure (1999–2021), Stuart guided generations of student‑athletes with a coaching philosophy rooted in discipline, fundamentals, and character. He believed in developing complete players—athletes who understood the game, respected their teammates, and carried themselves with integrity on and off the field. Under his leadership, Northwood quickly earned a reputation for playing hard, playing smart, and playing the right way.
Career Highlights
Coach Stuart stepped down in 2021, leaving behind a program deeply shaped by his vision, values, and dedication. His legacy lives on in every player who wears the Northwood uniform, every coach who follows the path he forged, and every tradition that continues because he started it.
Honoring Timberwolves who took the game beyond Northwood.
